Outlook for 2026 – Part 8
A characteristic of 2026

The common sentiment that there is a combination of both good and bad deeds in all human beings will seem to a certain degree more relative in the coming year. Humanity stands at a threshold from which two great armies will emerge, comparable to those spoken of in the Bhagavad Gita, the Kauravas and the Pandavas. In general, these two armies symbolise evil with the Kauravas and good with the white army, the Pandavas.

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” Matthew 7. 15-20 ¹⁾From the King James Bible²⁾ According to the New Testament scholar Professor Ulrich Luz, ‘false prophets’ (wolves in sheep’s clothing, verse 15) appear within the Christian community. These are people who speak in a Christian way, but whose actions have a destructive effect. Regarding the fruits (verses 16-20), Luz explains that the identity of a teacher is not expressed by his words or charismatic gifts, but in his concrete actions. As humanity approaches a threshold, both evil and constructive good become more obvious than before. This phenomenon can apply even for movements that are designated as spiritual, because particularly when a spirituality is essentially misguided, it can bring forth very unpleasant, destructive traits. The relativising, that everything has its good and also everything its negative side, will recede this year and both the constructive and the destructive will become more and more visible.

As long as people do not come close to the threshold of spirit, the character traits of good and evil remain mixed in the soul. They do not appear obvious in their connecting or divisive forces. However, as many people approach the threshold of their existence and are faced with the decision of how they will guide their lives alone, independently of the influence of the church, authorities and spiritual concepts, they are more at the mercy of antagonistic forces than before. This characterisation and distinction between good and evil therefore take on an astonishing sharpness in 2026.³⁾ See also the article Outlook for 2026 – Part 1 An overview of the year 2026

The Gospel passage that says in summary: “Therefore by their fruits you shall know them.“ (Matthew 7,20), means nothing other than that the inner will that lives in people reveals itself to others and in the surrounding outward manifestations.

If someone carries violence in their inner motivation, this will show itself in the surroundings where the person is. Two horses run violently against each other in such a way that one of them dies. In the background is a person that carries this violence in the depths of their will, and so in their surroundings there will always be images that reveal this violence. If someone visits an institution and this immediately brings about favourable developmental steps, the question can and may be asked whether the real inner motives are not in turn shown on the outside as fruits.

In 2025, people from the spiritual school travelled to Malta, Belgium, Slovakia, Hungary, Morocco, Switzerland and Sicily. All these countries were built up and, strangely enough, a large number of these countries did not to support the EU’s peculiar measures to take frozen assets from Russia.⁴⁾ See, for example, the article “EU heavyweight Italy joins Belgium in opposing Russian frozen assets plan” Where it states ‘Now Italy has shaken up the diplomatic dynamics by drafting a document with Belgium, Malta and Bulgaria urging the Commission to explore alternative options to using the Russian assets to keep Ukraine afloat over the coming years.’

The above-mentioned characteristic passage of the Sermon on the Mount will become clearly revealed in the coming year.

A further Gospel passage will gain a very special prominence in 2026, particularly for those who are undergoing spiritual training. “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; …..” (Matthew 6,24)

Those who are active in the spiritual school can no longer please the various worldly circumstances. They must lose themselves if they serve their attachments, eager for the feelings of security that the world seems to offer. The threshold that spiritual students approach contains its own unavoidable consequence and therefore those who have received several years of training are called upon to act unequivocally, clearly and courageously. Attachments must be totally eliminated and when they do not do this, it is as if they were to allow a hole in the roof of their house. The rain will come into their living quarters and give them no joy.

For the spiritual student, however, self-created feelings of truth are the greatest enemies. They will pile up mightily, seemingly reflecting a correct perception of reality and yet lead them unwaveringly astray. Many will prefer to project onto their teacher, because it is easier to blame someone else than to question themselves and their own illusory feelings. ‘Serving’ will not be the correct and appropriate expression in relation to the Sun Oasis and the spiritual training. Practical initiatives of a well-considered, honest character must be taken by every individual spiritual student in 2026 and these must be in accordance with the spiritual laws. My person will be criticised, but as a teacher I will not be allowed to criticise others.

Rudolf Steiner and anthroposophy, as well as, the most diverse spiritual contents and texts must be approached, however, from the starting point of the lived, humbly chosen and yet wisdom-permeated spiritual school. Carefully considered and good meditation can continually carry people above the water and re-enliven Rudolf Steiner and the spiritual truths that are already in the world creation.

On the one hand, people will appear with placards bearing a spiritual name and, as has already happened in the history of the church, preaching of something better. This phenomenon will indirectly generate violence, which will work its way into politics. The aggression inherent in these gestures must show itself broadly in the outer scenery.

On the other hand, love for the spiritual will manifest. Those who carry a real love for Rudolf Steiner and the Gospel writings in their souls, will not use them as figureheads. Thoughts will be formed; the spirit will be enlivened. In 2026, some people will regain access to the wisdom of the scriptures from a lived, spiritual discipline and meditation. Strength and not just outer words can enter into world creation through these people.
