The development of the heart centre
A genuine soul-feeling for true values – that is neither limited in time nor dependent on the changing streams of societal systems – a feeling for the value of greatness of character, morality and nobly created works, leads to a treasure within the soul. The more this soul feeling for values, expressed in practical and concrete terms, becomes part of an authentic feeling of the personality the more it inspires the heart centre with joyfully beautiful, expansive and rounded movements, which in turn radiate outwards to fellow human beings and, ultimately, far onto the whole cosmos. In life, the value that individuals respect, perceive, venerate with subtle ardour – and perhaps, furthermore, achieve in deeds and authentic feelings, – forms their heart. It is their inner, soul heart.
In relation to a genuine peace work, it is essential to develop this energy centre, known as the Anahata-chakra or the twelve-petalled lotus flower in the centre of the chest. The more this centre unfolds, the more balance and peace radiates through its individual content-ful and outstanding strength of consciousness.
Why is war no longer appropriate for the times?
War receives no support from the afterlife, the place where the departed reside with their souls. The era of “just wars” is long past. What do souls experience after they have allowed themselves to be swept up in scenes of violence, hatred and feelings of vengeance during their time on earth?
The soul does not experience the negativity of the effects of violence because these are not particularly significant for the afterlife. Rather, they are meaningless and fleeting episodes for the emotional-mental part of the soul. Far more, the soul experiences in the afterlife – then, when it is free from all physicality – the true omission of all the work that it should have done to uphold the best cultural values, the ideals of human existence, and the development of a morally noble character. As a result of the fact that there are millions of souls dwelling in the afterlife who know this experience of their own omissions, war in the world receives no support. The souls from the afterlife determine the potential of human beings in their thinking, feeling and will. The individual forming of a nation, a group or even a single individual receives an inflow from the afterlife, if it puts its attention to a genuine system of values. Lost, however, are all political reactions and emotionally driven battle cries, for these only drive the emotional-mental part of the soul outwardly against the emerging spiritual potential for development. Therefore, war receives no inflow from the afterlife, and so, with all its diversionary tactics, it increases the unrest that ultimately casts a shady, distorted shadow over any potential world development.
The bottom line, therefore, seen from this spiritual perspective, is the courage for development with all its moral and personal consequences. The soul-feeling for values that every individual should achieve in life, and which supports peace, should stem from this universal view.
