What can individuals do to support peace in the Iran conflict?

The US president Donald Trump actually did not want to start a war in Iran and sought to reassure Israel, who feared it would be destroyed and wiped out. From a spiritual perspective, taking into account the innermost circumstances, the intenseness of the American leader – who is highly emotional and quick to react – is not malicious but relatively peace-loving, and he is particularly concerned with the preservation of his own nation. However, there are circumstances in world creation, in which masked figures of evil rise up and open up abysses with jagged reefs, unexpectedly taking hold of human nature. Politicians, in particular, are pawns of forces that come out of the deeper layers of human existence and direct the consciousnesses of people in positions of leadership into a grotesque puppet show.

The American president is willful of nature, but is also susceptible to being blackmailed due to his own emotional volatility. There is no need to discuss in detail where this blackmail comes from and how it determines his actions. Rather, the question that interests a spiritual school is what achievements, actions and thoughts must flow into world creation so that an ascent over the restless sea of actionism can take place and acts of violence, along with all manner of negative afflictions, can cease in a natural way. The cause lies not in politics but actually in certain soul sentiments of people who stand at a threshold and must now bring deeds into the worlds so that a balance can come about on the outer visible plane.

People say Donald Trump is driven by religion and feels himself to be an anointed figure with special privileges. However, it is actually that there is a whole series of individuals who practice a powerful, abysmal black magic and this finds its outward expression in world politics. These are abusive forms, which, however, do not originate from politics, but actually gain their initial power from representatives of spiritual streams who carry a responsibility and contribute to the world’s misfortune. With some spiritual insight, it can be recognised that, for example, a heart centre, a chakra of subtle kind, that could have soul qualities can be reversed to such an extent that it exerts a powerful influence on its surroundings and, beyond that, on the whole cosmos as well as on the political currents of the time. A few dozen people carrying out such abusive forms will result in a concentration of conflicts arising precisely in Iran, a country that ought to occupy a central and internationally significant position in world creation.

The elimination of abusive forms of spirituality

Abuses of spirituality are unfortunately more common in world creation than the healthy prospects for development envisaged by esoteric schools, spiritual groups and religious endeavours. It is precisely there, in well-founded esoteric training, that serious, reversed forms of spiritual laws appear relatively frequently; these furthermore take hold of the most diverse groupings of people and radiate a kind of counter-image to the harmonious processes in the world. People, involved in an aspiration for spiritual development based on sound core principles, ought to unfold their heart centre – that is their soul – profoundly in accordance with the laws of a universally valid truth, and must under no-circumstances tolerate, for example, vain, irresponsible posturing and deceitful presumptuousness.

A careful study of the heart centre, the qualities inherent to this chakra, how they can be unfolded and, by comparison, how its opposite side can manifest in the form of black magic, has significance for subsequent consideration.

Nevertheless, an engagement that is both careful and responsible is of paramount importance for esoteric work, for meditation and also for anthroposophy. The founded development of the heart centre would very quickly lead to peace in world creation. This statement is no exaggeration and is not an empty promise. The care that is necessary for this task requires daily discipline, careful study and an earnest intention when engaging with spiritual bodies of thought.
