The study days in Naone start at the beginning of February. For all those interested in coming to stay for the first time, it seems important to me that they are prepared by sufficiently familiarising themselves with one of my books. The book ‘Exercises for the Soul’ is recommended and the most easily accessible.1) This book is currently being translated. A booklet that is an excerpt from this book is available in English, ‘Six Soul Exercises’. For asana practice ‘The Soul Dimension of Yoga’ is a further book that would provide a suitable foundation. Basically, coming to stay here is about spirituality, and as a conscious ability to differentiate and perceive the spiritual worlds is developed, the book ‘Knowledge of Higher Worlds’ by Rudolf Steiner is also highly recommended.
For all those that already have yoga experience, I would like to add that a visit to the Sun Oasis is very helpful. This even applies to yoga teachers who represent completely different approaches to yoga. The greatest efforts are made to follow objective criteria in the study programme, and the teaching content should not be assigned to just one approach, but should generally enrich the whole level of yoga through clear insights and aesthetic style. However, experience has shown that in many cases previously acquired concepts must be revised through studies, and thus some formerly learnt forms can suffer – or better said, enjoy – a kind of transformation.
Asana practice is a recommended part of the study days
