Outlook for 2026 – Part 3

Overall, the movements for the threefold order ¹⁾These mainly anthroposophical initiatives and networks are based on Rudolf Steiner’s statements about the threefold order of the social organism. over recent years have had no great or resounding success in the world.

The prediction, however, that precisely the feeling of a threefold order will come into a natural, almost self-evident awakening from the bottom up is of great significance for the vision of the future. For every individual in whom there is at least an expectation of spirituality, a natural conception of a simple form of threefold order will rise up in the soul in the year 2026. Through systems and outer collective measures this threefold order cannot yet come about in the way it should in the social organism of economy, justice and religion.

A few errors exist in the understanding of the term ‘self’ and also in the interpretation of religious freedom, legal equality and brotherly economy. As these protracted mistakes have not been corrected over the years and the actual, deeper spiritual meaning of each one of the three was insufficiently developed in practice, the movement of the threefold order could not come to unfold with sufficient success.

However, the year 2026 anticipates a somewhat simpler and very natural relationship in which an ever growing number of relatively simple people will carry out this development in an articulated and natural way.

Those people who have achieved their first stage of independence to some degree will want to develop three elements:

1. They will want to grow morally, not in the sense that they are just good representatives of a present-day human being, but in a sense that has universal value. Morality will want to become stronger in some people, not only on a moralising basis but rather within the full scope of the term. Ideals that are noble will want to attain realisation.

2. The need to have a relationship in a utilitarian way will gradually be severed and transformed into the ability to encounter relationships in constantly growing measure as a connecting force of life, and to hold and sustain these relationships as soul content with warmth and empathy.

3. People will want to experience their work and their skills with appreciation and honour. Their own personality will want to feel itself in consciousness and express itself through the outer nature.

In this sense there are three elements that will receive a strengthening influx in 2026.

In relation to business, ideal enterprises will be able to flourish on the basis of these threefold objectives. When small enterprises are established with manageable conditions, they will have very good prospects because they will be able to define themselves in their morality in terms of an ideal by demanding of themselves honesty, aesthetics and dignity. Furthermore and secondly, every independently established enterprise will be able to expand its relationships in a friendly and sustainable way. The focus will not be business interests but rather the development of diverse and strong relationships.

As a third dimension there is the product, which is far more than just the bread produced by the baker or the food served in the restaurant. The whole sphere of the enterprise, the quality of the staff and the competence of their skills also have this physical role.

So in a simple way the triangle can be constructed in a way that is ideal for the business.

It is the etheric Christ ²⁾Details of the appearance of Christ in the etheric world can be found Rudolf Steiner’s lecture cycle “The Advent of Christ in the Ethereal World”, GA 118. that connects the planes together through his creative forces, deva, as long as one of these values of the triangle is ambitiously realised. The triangle itself is a geometric symbol signalising expansiveness and connection.

However, if the triangle is turned upside down, so that materialistic values are at the top and morality projects into the ground, this way of doing business brings the whole world situation into imbalance.

For example, a business places great value on morality and sets itself the aim of neither driving out others nor of solely encouraging people to consume in order to earn as much money as possible. The business should become a part of a world reality, even if it is small. Doing business can provide a balance for the whole, deplorable discrepancy in conditions between poor and rich. In a completely natural way, relationships will flourish into connection on the basis of this moral undertone and the business owner will place great value on the dignified and qualitative development of the product.

Business can develop in a new way, from the bottom upwards, in small, well thought through enterprises, which see their natural value in this threefold order. In Italy, particularly in South-Tirol and in Trentino, conditions have allowed a really good development. These northern regions of the country look upon a future of growth in spite of some inflationary circumstances. In the surrounding areas the trinity of morality, relationship and product quality has quite naturally become established and practically developed widely as a business idea.

When these ideals in a business are united in the sense of a trinity, the business produces a kind of balanced state by forming a centre between poor and rich. In small cells, values  will awaken of harmonious business activity, which does not exploit people but offers value for the environment and, as the spiritual laws state, even for the whole world.

2026 is a very favourable year to found small enterprises, without incurring debt, to create places with a growing identity which are very communicative and have a good radiation.

If we consider the big corporations and the many, constant penalties being imposed to rescue their economy, such as redundancy measures, it can be clearly seen how product quality is increasingly being oriented towards the best market and yet is losing its identification with the human being. ³⁾Currently around 1000 jobs are being lost every day in Germany. Entire factories such as the VW factory in Dresden had to cease production in 2025. Artificial intelligence in businesses, intended to replace employees, will not succeed in being satisfactorily enforced, but rather will even weaken large institutions.

What creates the originality of an enterprise? Does it define itself too much in terms of purchasing? Does it fight to dominate the market for the sake of its survival? The year 2026 will bring with it extreme insolvencies and on the other hand the establishment of new businesses, which build their values in a relatively sensible, independent manner and with a view to growing their identity. Perhaps one could even use the word from the Gospels and ask: Does a business serve mammon and employ every conceivable survival strategy or does it follow thoughts and ideas that demonstrate a personal and beyond that a super-personal value?

Germany will encounter difficulties in business activity as in the course of many years it has not yet found or rediscovered its originality and its identity. Immigration from Ukraine will continue to weaken Germany and many smouldering conflicts will come about. Immigrants from Arab countries will also give rise to many questions and no solutions are visible. The originality of Germany as a country is still largely undefined and therefore a national economic strategy cannot bear fruit.

Orienting the economy towards military arms is intended to temporarily compensate for crises. However, Germany is not a country that can be characterised by its military, and so in doing this it further loses its originality.

England will implement very strict economic measures, but in this country too, small businesses will grow and will create some degree of balance for the whole world situation from inside or from the bottom upwards.

America, led by Trump, is preparing for better economic development. The conflict with Venezuela has been provoked for economic reasons. However, for 2026 some personalities in Venezuela will gain a very clear position in the world whole. A major war is not currently being planned.

Generally, a big crisis can be observed in the USA, as the people living there can often not even afford to see a doctor. Those in the lower tiers must develop imagination so that many people can offer each other stability and solidarity. It would be preferable if this development could take place peacefully and with few civil-war-like situations. However, it looks strongly as if civil war is pending.

Business activity requires that an original position in the world is found. The better this position is discovered in each individual, the more harmoniously the brotherly or sisterly path of buying, using and working with the various goods will develop.

If morality is rated more highly than the pressure for profit, and an honest relationship with the world is perceptible, good provisions for buying and selling will flow towards individual people and it will be easier to attain a stable balance for consumption.
