The Approach and Aim of ”Yoga out of the Purity of the Soul“
An exoteric foundation for practice
Heinz Grill wrote the booklet ”The approach and aim of Yoga out of the Purity of the Soul“ in 1998, principally for those who were interested in his seminars.Alongside the aims of this yoga the so-called ”exoteric way of practice“ was explained in the seminars, which helps to avoid the confusion which is frequently present in the esoteric realm between everyday, intellectual thinking and esoteric content. The teacher-student relationship and the problem of hierarchy and obedience is also mentioned in a detailed way.In the appendix Heinz Grill briefly describes the inner connection of his own work with the Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo and the Anthroposophy of Rudolf Steiner. Also in the appendix is ”A stage by stage classification and self-determination of the seeker of spiritual individuation.“ This can help interested readers towards an objective evaluation of themselves on the path of training.
